This app is perfect for me, I love it.
This app is perfect for me, I love it.
More comprehensive than the ebird app and if youre worried about exporting your sightings into ebird it is very simple and straightforward. I used to use the ebird app but this one has a much friendlier user interface. Like how it shows your sightings on a map and the ability to sort them. Now just wondering when the next update will be since its been over a year.
Five stars, this app sounds wonderful and it sounds as though many many people have dedicated a great deal of effort , Im expecting a lot too.
Very useful for immediately being able to record an observation. I would, however, like better syncing between various Apple devices. I highly recommend this whole family of bird applications.
Ive only been using the journal for about a week now. So far it seems like a good app. The only thing I dont like is that there arent any pre-made checklists available to use. I spent a lot of time going back & forth between apps & websites to create a checklist of birds in my state. In my opinion, that would greatly improve this app. Other than that, it seems pretty good. I plan to use it frequently.
A versatile app for keeping track of your bird sightings. The one thing that would improve it would be iCloud integration and syncing across devices.
I have found this app to be much easier to use than the Audobon apps. Im just a new amateur birder, but it has really helped me!
Needs a lot of work as far as editing. Just so frustrating! Dont just take the money I spent but work on the app. If I had know how hard it was to navigate I would ever have bought the app. Now that you have take my money work on it, please. Then I will give you a higher rating!!
The long wait is over and the app is pretty good. There isnt really any competition, but combine with iBird it makes a great combo.
Recently purchased this app. I find it a bit confusing but I am sure that I will love it once I get it all figured out. I would have liked to see a place to make notes on observation.
I find it hard to enter my birds, should be open in main page, type in birds name, location and picture. Then it should file it automatically
I am very disappointed in the way ijournal handles the location by making it mandatory to have an address. You need to allow the entry of GPS location. Moving the location pin should have an option to move by GPS coordinates rather than popping up an address. Lifebirds app does a great job at nailing the location making it very easy and allows you to have one location with different precise GPS coordinates within the location I love the integration with ibirds and many of the other features but the complexity of setting location and no options for flexibility make it a deal breaker. I will continue to use lifebirds until this is fixed.
I like this app and it seems like it will come in handy. One thing I would like to see added though is the ability to select a species from a favourites list so you could have the common species your tracking quick at hand.
This is a perfect app for the amateur.
This is a great app for any bird enthusiast. Easy to use, lets you make a simple quick entry or gives the option for a full detailed description and location.
Love this app. Very easy to use and lots of features!
Good app but not really intuitive. Some support documentation would be a big help for the new users.
Works exactly as advertised highly recommended. I use it 2 or 3 times a week.
I have iBird Pro and this is a wonderful addition for easy notation and creation of a life list. Couldnt be happier for my use.
I am a beginning birder and I have found this app to be excellent for tracking your observations. There is also the ability to export your observations to eBird cvs format and the import is simple. A very useful app. Update: I have used this now on several bird walks (checklists are great for this) and for day to day observations. I continue to be inpressed with what a good job it does and the integration with iBird Pro is wonderful.
